Same-Day Tennis Racket Stringing in Rowland Heights, Eastvale and the Inland Empire: How It Works
Updated: Oct 14
If you need your racket strung soon, here is how it works at A1 Stringing: book an appointment a day ahead and your racket is strung while you wait. Need it today? Book a same day rush slot. If you cannot make an appointment, drop it in our 24/7 drop box, text us, and it is ready in 24 to 48 hours. And if you have a few rackets and would rather not drive at all, we offer pickup and drop off in nearby zones, or we bring the machine to you.
We are based in Eastvale and serve the Inland Empire. Pickup and drop off covers Eastvale, Norco, Chino, Chino Hills, Ontario, Corona, Jurupa Valley, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Fontana, Riverside, Pomona, Diamond Bar, Claremont and Yorba Linda, and mobile visits reach farther by zone, including Walnut and Rowland Heights.
Three ways to get your racket strung
1. Book an appointment, or a same day rush slot
Book a slot online a day or more ahead, bring the racket at your time, and it is strung while you wait. Need it today? Book a same day rush slot. This is the fastest and most predictable option, and it is what we recommend before a match or tournament. Appointment bookings carry a small deposit that comes off your total and a cancellation policy, which exists for one reason: it keeps no shows from taking a slot away from another player.
2. The 24/7 drop box
Not everyone can make an appointment, and that is fine. Our drop box is at our stringing location, accessible any hour, secure, and under 24 hour surveillance. Leave your racket with your string and tension noted, text us that it is there, and we string it in the order it came in. Turnaround is 24 to 48 hours depending on how many rackets are ahead of you. If you need it faster than that, book a same day rush slot instead. We would rather tell you the honest timeline than promise something and miss it.
3. Pickup, drop off, and mobile stringing
In Zones A and B we pick up your rackets at your door on a route day (pickups Monday to Wednesday, returns Tuesday to Thursday) and bring them back strung within 24 to 48 hours. If you would rather not wait, book a Mobile Stringing Visit: we load the machine into the car and string on site at your home, club, or court, and you get your rackets back the same visit. Mobile visits have a 2 racket minimum in Zones A and B, and the visit fee is the same for 2 rackets or 10, so it works well for families and teams. Text us your zip code to check your zone.
Why the machine matters
Every racket we string goes on the same machine, calibrated the same way. That is not a small detail. A crank lockout machine, which some shops still use, pulls to the target tension and then stops, and the string relaxes before it is clamped. An electronic constant pull machine keeps pulling until the clamp closes, which produces a firmer, more consistent bed. The same string at the same setting on the two machine types typically comes out a few pounds apart (around 3 lbs in a common example), depending on the string and the stringer. If your racket feels different after switching stringers, that is usually why. When you string with us every time, your racket feels the same every time.
What to tell us when you book
String and gauge (or "recommend one"), tension (or "recommend one"), racket make and model, and anything special like a hybrid setup or a regrip. We check every frame for cracks and worn grommets before we string, and we will flag anything we see. A cracked frame cannot be strung safely; the tension can finish the crack during or after the job, and you would lose the racket and the string.
What is included
Every string job includes a free overgrip. We stock premium strings only (Wilson, Luxilon, Head, Solinco, Babolat, Yonex) across polyester, multifilament, synthetic gut, and natural gut, so we can set up any player from a first-year high schooler to a club level hitter. Payment by Venmo, Zelle, Square, or card through the website.
How to book
Pick the option that fits your week: a standard appointment booked a day or more ahead, a same day rush slot, the 24/7 drop box, or pickup and drop off in nearby zones. Teams and groups can book a mobile on site visit. Tell us your string, gauge, tension, and racket when you book, or ask us to recommend a setup.
Current prices for every service, from stringing and rush slots to pickup, mobile visits and the 3 Pack, are always up to date on our Book Online page. Prices do not include sales tax.

A note on this post: this is general information based on our experience as stringers and on the sources referenced above. It is not medical or professional advice, and the right string, tension, and equipment for you depend on your racket, technique, and physical condition, so results vary. Always check your racket manufacturer's recommended tension range, confirm current prices and specifications with the retailer or manufacturer, and see a qualified medical professional for any pain or injury.
